What looks like a beer bottle on steroids is actually a coffin. That’s right. The website even has a caption underneath this picture that says “Beer sellers go to the afterlife in their favourite brand”.
How apt.
Anyway, this coffin was made by the Ga carpenters in Accra, Ghana, who also make coffins that resemble – among other things – cellphones, chickens, elephants, fish, a bench vice, and lady’s fingers (the vegetable, not the body part, though they probably could make one that looked like a real lady’s finger).
My personal favourite is the Kente seller’s coffin. It’s just way too colourful for a coffin.
